Our Pastor

Pastor Henderson was born in Galveston, TX to the late Littleton J. Henderson III and Lois A. Henderson. He holds degrees in Pre-Engineering and Mathematics. He has certification by EDS as a Systems Engineer, by EKBPC in expository preaching, and

is currently working on his advanced certification with EKBPC. He has attended Ashland Theological Seminary and the Duke Divinity School. He has served as Vice-Moderator of District 2 of the New Hope Association, and as President of the New Hope Union. Pastor

Henderson accepted God’s call to preach and was licensed at the New Faith Church in Houston, TX under the pastorate of the Rev. Dr. T. R. Williams, Sr., on January 17, 1988. He was later ordained in June 1990 and has been preaching now for 32 years. He is the former pastor of the Providence Missionary Baptist Church, and is the current pastor of the Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church where he has served for over 21 years.

Our First Lady

First Lady Shanequia Henderson is a sixth-grade social studies teacher. She has been teaching for 11 years and loves her job. She has been married to Pastor Henderson for 31 years and together they have two children. A son who is a musician, music producer, and alumni of Elon University. A daughter who is a new High School graduate (Class of 2020) and has been accepted at Appalachian State University. The First Lady is an active member of several ministries including the women's ministry and youth ministry. You can easily spot her bright vivid smile paired with exotic hats during Sunday morning worship hours. She believes she can do all things through Christ and strives to help those in need as much as possible.
